Participants
Alburnett surrounding community boys and girls in 3rd - 6th grade. K-2 Fun Run 400m (1Lap) only. No registration required.

Athletes are to sign up for events using the registration link on this website.
Event Participation
An athlete may participate in a total of up to 4 events. This may consist of any combination of running and field events.
Shoe Requirements
All track participants must wear shoes in all events. football shoes, soccer cleats, baseball cleats, or softball cleats are not permitted. Track spikes are allowed with 3/16" or less spikes.

Tug-of-War
Shot Put
Throws will be completed in thrower's ring. Athletes shall make three consecutive throws using provided 6 pound shot put before the next athlete participates. Throws may be made from a standing position and should remain behind the board of the throwing circle. Measurement of all throws will be made in a straight line from the nearest measuring line. The best of three throws will be scored.
Discus
Throws are completed in the discus ring. Athletes shall make three consecutive throws before the next athlete participates. Throws must be completed from the discus ring without stepping out. Measurements will be taken on throws that fall within the painted sector boundaries. Measurements of all throws will be made in a straight line from the nearest measuring line. The best of three throws will be scored.
Standing Long Jump
Athletes are allowed three jumps from the edge of the runway into the sandpit. Athletes shall make three consecutive jumps before the next athlete participates. Athletes should approach from a standing position and not a run. The best of three jumps will be scored.
Jump Rope
Jump Rope will be a timed event. Jumps must be made consecutively without misses. Once a miss happens the participant will bring their rope to an official at their station. Double or single jumps are acceptable. No hesitation in rope swing or skipping rope allowed.
Tug of War
Grades will compete in the ultimate class rivalry tug of war. An equal number of students will be selected from each grade. They will compete in a tug of war at a distance of 10ft. No cleats.
55 Meter, 100 Meter, 200 Meter, 400 Meter Runs
Athletes will compete in running events at designated starts. Athletes will receive lane assignments complete with stickers to be worn on the right hip. Athletes will run the race in its entirety in designated lanes. Timed scores will be kept.
1600 Meter Run
Athletes will run this event in 2 heats consisting of one boy's group and one girl's group. Athletes will start using a waterfall start or one turn stager. Athletes will be provided with a hip number to be worn on the right hip. Timed scores will be kept.
4x100 and 4x200 Meter Relays
Relays will consist of 4 athletes in which a baton will be passed from athlete to athlete within designated exchange zones. Athletes will compete relay events in designated lanes in the race's entirety. Athletes will be provided with lane assignments and hip number to be worn on the right hip. Timed scores will be kept. Batons will be available if needed.
4x400 Meter Relay
The relay will consist of 4 athletes in which a baton will be passed from athlete to athlete within designated exchange zones. 1st runner will remain in the designated lane, the 2nd runner will cut to the inside lane at the green at the white line located on the backstretch. Athletes will be provided with lane assignments and a hip-number sticker to be worn on the right hip. Timed scores will be kept. Batons will be available if needed.
Awards
Ribbons will be awarded to athletes who placed 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. per gender, grade, and event. (Excluding tug-of-war field event.)
